So Day Two...Another beautiful day, the clouds were lifting, the sun was shining...and the majority of tourists were still asleep...perfect time to hit the trail. This time I climbed on the other side of the valley and took a train up to a city called Wengen and got off to walk to another train stop, Kleine Scheidegg.

The walk up was great, very peaceful and scenic...looking to one side I looked onto the hills that I came from and when I looked in front me, I saw the Jungfrau range...specifically the Jungfrau peak. And of course if I looked to the other side...there were the Alpine cows...busily grazing, producing that low-fat, skim milk (yeah right) that's found in awful tasting Alpine chocolate (yeah right again). These fellas were none to shy of hikers...and expected the hikers to yield the right of way...no problem seeing that they were a little larger than me.

Ahhhh....which way? Don't worry mom I got it all under control. Actually the hiking signage is great and a tad better than the highway signage that us expats have found in Germany. And I figured if worse came to worse and I became completely lost I could yoddle a little SOS tune...relax madre...I know what I'm doing.

So here are those views in front of me that I was talking about earlier. The picture on the right is of the Eiger, which is a little over 13,000 feet. I actually didn't see the full view of this peak until I rounded a corner on my hike...where I couldn't help but gauke at the cool effect of the clouds hanging onto the mountainside. The picture on the left, I believe, is Monch, 13,500 feet...someone correct me if I'm wrong on this peak's name...I seem to get lost with all of these names.

This is actually a picture taken during the evening after my first day of hiking...but I just wanted to show you what you have to look forward to after having the perfect day in the Alps...rough isn't it?

...And so what do you ask do I have in store next? Well the top of course and this is just a sneak peek...does this look familiar to anyone...well I'll let you know why in a minute.
