And it just gets better...

This time I was taking a different route, the eventual goal was to get close to the top of the peaks. I know what you are thinking "Renee? you climed all the way.." ah no way...I had some mechanical assistance for that endeavor.

If you look at these cabins you'll notice there are some stones at the bottom of the hut that look like they are part of the foundation. These were used to keep rodents out of the cabin....interesting.




The hiking trails in this area were fairly crowded which I'm certain had to do with Zermatt being so close by and everyone wanting to have a constant view of the Matterhorn...I have to plead guilty to that. The weather on day two was once again perfect and the flora was in full bloom...which just made the hiking perfect.
